North Shore Tribal Council - Timber Management Class Environmental Assessment
DPRA Canada was retained by the North Shore Tribal Council and Northwatch to review the Ministry of Natural Resources' Timber Management Plan proposal with a focus on the roles and responsibilities of First Nations. We provided expert evidence at the Environmental Assessment Hearing on the Ministry's proposed approach to stakeholder relations and public consultation. An alternative process was recommended that would better reflect the concerns of First Nations in timber management planning in Ontario.
